Chúa Giêsu ngã xuống đất lần nhất.

Third station: Jesus Falls the first time.

Introduction - Mở Đường Thánh Giá

· In the beginning God created man and gave him dominion over the whole visible world. Unfortunately man used his free will to betray God’s plan and thus made the whole created world not only suoàect to futility but also against him. However God still loves man and let man know that He will definitely save him. “Here is the Man”, the Savior of the world, a world of slavery to corruption, a world to be saved by His power as a true God, Who raised up the crippled, the paralyzed and the dead. That’s why the God-Man Jesus tries to stand up and walk after the first falling down to the ground under a heavy cross.

Chúa Giêsu lê tấm thân tan nát vì đòn vọt đi được ít lâu thì qụi ngã xuống đất trên gối chân phải, tay vẫn giữ thập giá cho khỏi đổ lên người hay rơi xuống đất. Thấy vậy, tên lính cầm búa lấy roi quất vào thân Chúa Giêsu mà quát: "Vua chúa gì mà yếu đuối như vậy. Quyền năng của ngươi đâu hết rồi" Tên lính cầm giáo lắc đầu phụ họa: "Yếu hơn cả con bò kéo cầy, thua cả con ngựa kéo xe".

Reflection - Nghiệm Đường Thánh Giá

· Jesus, You are Christ, the Son of God. In the fullness of time You came into the world in flesh to testify to the truth that You were sent by God, Who really loves us human creature and wants to communicate His Divine Life to us through Your Incarnation, Passion and Resurrection. As the Way, Your humanity is to embrace the cross with Your arms, as the Truth, Your Messianic mission is to fulfill Your Father’s saving plan, and as the Life, Your Spirit is to transform human weakness into divine power. On the contrary, in our daily Christian life, a life is to be died, buried and raised with You through the Church’s Baptism, we disciples and witnesses of Yours not only are afraid of our worldly failures, but also push You down under our earthly idols and also under the trust of our own saving effort!

 (Xin Người Thương Con của Thành Tâm)

Nam (PK1): Từ vực sâu tối tăm con kêu cầu Người thương trông đến. Chúa ơi, lắng nghe lời con, con tìm nhan Chúa thiết tha nài van. Vì đời con lắm phen đã không tròn lời cam kết xưa. Chúa ơi, chớ ghi trong lòng phút giây lỗi lầm con phụ lòng Người thương.

Nữ (PK2): Người, Người ơi thấu chăng, đã bao lần hồn con cay đắng. Cố vươn lên thát cảnh bùn nhơ, mây mù che lối lưới giây tình oan. Nhưng rồi đời đâu dễ chi thêm một lần hồn con oán than. Chúa ơi chớ ghi trong lòng phút giây lỗi lầm, con phụ lòng Người thương.

Chung (ĐK): Nhưng con tin nơi Chúa, Chúa thương con nhiều tình không biên giới. Con trông mong nơi Chúa sẽ quên tháng ngày tuổi xuân trót dại. Đây con tim rướm máu tấm thân gầy héo tình con hững hờ. Con xin dâng lên Chúa khúc ân tình này Người thương con đi.

Lạy Chúa Giêsu là Đường, là Sự Thật và là Sự Sống, xin cho Kitô-hữu chúng con là môn đệ của Chúa biết bỏ mình đi, vác thập giá mình mà theo Chúa.

Our Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, help us Christian, Your disciples, deny ourselves, take up the cross and follow You.

Fourth station: Jesus meets his Mother

Introduction - Mở Đường Thánh Giá

· In the beginning God promised to save disgraced man through offspring of a woman. “Here is the Man”, the Savior of the world as God promised. This Man was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a Virgin in Nazareth of Galilee betrothed to a man named Joseph, who contributed nothing to her conception. However, Mary’s happiness is not only being Mother of God rather than servant of God. That’s why the God-Man Jesus wants to look at His Mother, who always followed her Son where ever He goes, even to the foot of the cross.

Trên đường vác thập giá lên núi sọ, Chúa Giêsu gặp Mẹ Maria sầu bi đứng nhìn Người và giơ hai tay về phía Người như muốn vác đỡ lấy thập giá của Con mình. Chúa Giêsu đứng lại âu yếm nhìn Mẹ. Tên lính cầm giáo quát lên đẩy Chúa Giêsu đi: "Không có ai cứu được ngươi đâu mà cầu cứu". Tên lính cầm búa hùa theo: "Ngươi có cứu được người khác đi nữa, ngươi cũng không thể nào thoát thân được đâu"

· Jesus, You are Christ, the Son of God. As the Way, Your humanity is to be born of a human mother, as the Truth, Your Messianic mission is to fulfill Your Father’s saving plan, and as the Life, Your Spirit is to unite humanity and divinity in Your person. On the contrary, in our daily Christian life, a life is to be died, buried and raised with You through the Church’s Baptism, we disciples and witnesses of Yours not only are afraid of following Your way, but also become indifferent to Your merciful love after our fall!

Chung (ĐK1): Mẹ đứng đó tâm hồn tê tái sầu, đồng công cùng Con dấu yêu. Vì thương nhân loại bao khốn cùng, xin dẫn đưa bao linh hồn lạc hướng về bên Mẹ, Mẹ ơi.

Solo nữ (PK1): Hỡi ai qua đường, dừng bước đây mà chiêm ngắm, Chúa chí tôn cam chịu bao nỗi khổ đau. Vì thương toàn nhân loại muôn chốn muôn đời, ngày đêm khóc than, mong chờ vinh phúc quê trời.

Chung (ĐK2): Mẹ đứng đó khi trời đã xế chiều, đồng công cùng Con dấu yêu. Vì thương nhân loại bao khốn cùng, xin dẫn đưa bao tâm hồn lạc hướng về bên Mẹ, Mẹ ơi.
