Family's Memorial Thanksgiving Day Tour

Thanksgiving Mass at St. Bede Church

where the wedding mass was celebrated on August 6/1983

Apt. 5951, a studio, where the Cao-Bui Family had been started right after the wedding

Apt. 5941, one bedroom in the same area, where Cao-Bui Family was increased with the first two members, Michael (1984) and John Paul (1986)

 

 

Joyland Preschool in Norwalk,

where two infants Mike and JP have been cared during parents' working days since three months old

 

Their father took them to this day care (5 miles eastward from home) in the morning then go to work by freeway 5 nearby and picked them in the afternoon after work

 

 

Garden Grove Hospital where the new generation of Cao Bui Family were born

Mike in 1984 and JP in 1986 from South Gate, and Therese in 1990 from Pomona

This is the house given by God right after the family's prayer on Sunday in Raymond Church in Downey - On Monday, the day after the house was found and bought

OLA (Our Lady of the Assumption) Parish: School and Church,

where the whole family had involved in different activities of the Vietnamese community

officially from 1990 until 2000

 

OLA School for all the three kids of Cao Bui Family from Kindergarten until High School

Cao Bui Family's kids always went into inside the Church to make Eucharistic Adoration before school time and prior to going to their classrooms

All three of them were placed in the after school care until their parents can pick up after daily work

Now they become older at 41, 39 and 35 and continue to have their kids in Catholic school,

like Mike's 3 boys in Saint Joseph Parish's School in Upland since this school year of 2025

Their parents have served the Vietnamese community during 10/12 years living in Pomona:

Father wirh Fatima Youth Movement & Mother with Vietnamese language and Faith educationprograms.

In this parish, Cao Bui Family's kids have been alter servers, received Baptism (only Therese in 1990), First Communion and Confirmation

Mike received Confirmation in 1992

Therese received Confirmation in 2004 by Bishop Dominic Luong Mai

Through Mary we thanks God for the Memorial Thanksgiving Day Tour are completed in God's loving providence and in beneficial to each of us.

Thanks to each of you who have tried, directly or indirectly, to participated in this historic unforgetable and precious event of our extended families.

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary becomes Loving Home for our extended families. Amen. Alleluia!

Text to the extended families on Sunday August 10/2025 regarding Memorial Thanksgiving Day Tour

Thanks be to God for everything we are and we have on our temporary life on earth.

Our Thanksgiving is a best prayer we can offer to God Who always wants and give His imperfect creatures as each one of us the best things so that we can achieve the eternal life, our final and ultimate end of our short earthly life. As parents and grandparents we are very happy with our extended families including everyone.

In order to celebrate the Holy Year 2025, the first and the last one for our elderly ages regarding 2050 after 25 years later, we think we can express our Thanksgiving to God and to all of you by a Thanksgiving Tour related to where we had lived together during the last over 40 years. Following is the itinerary on Sunday August 17, 2025 next week:

9:00 am - Mass at Saint Bede Church in La Canada Flintridge located at 215 Foothill Blvd.
10:15 am - Pictures
10:30 am - To South Gate at 5941 Imperial Hwy.
11:15 am - Pictures
11:30 am - To Joy Land Pre School in Norwalk.
11:45 pm - Pictures
12:00 pm - To Orange County for Thanksgiving Luncheon
1:00 pm - To Garden Grove Hospital
1:15 pm - Pictures
1:30 pm - To Pomona (all boys certainly will take nap during one hour trip)
2:30 pm - Pictures at the old house
2:45 pm - To OLA School
3:00 pm - Pictures and Eucharistic Thanksgiving in the Church of OLA for the trip and all the gifts given to our extended families.
3:30 pm - End

In summary we will not have a long trip, except from OC to Pomona when all boys can take nap. We have different stops to enjoy our memories with the pictures. May God bless our plan and be with our extended families.

Bố already said the reason the purpose for our family tour/trip. 
Mẹ have some concerns related to the schedule that Bố set out.  Bố made the timing too tight.
From Joyland Nơrwalk to Orange County, it takes at least 30 minutes.
Lunch: at least 1 hour.
Sunday:  there's Mass at 3pm at OLA. We can't do viếng Chúa.
The Mass at 9 am, which means we have to leave Fontana & RC at 8 am (it takes at least 50 mins), H & TS would have to leave 7:30 am.  Is this too early for các con & các cháu?
We can attend 11am Mass, then have lunch right after Mass around La Canada, or Montrose or Glendale before heading out for 2nd part of the tour.
Any suggestions, opinions! 
We’ll be up and ready to go. We need to get the boys used to waking up early for school next week. We’re ok with the different stops. We blocked the day for the tour.  


Again it will just be me, Hung will stay home with Aden. So I can wake up early and make it at 9.

Bố mẹ đã về Southgate và ghé Joy Land Pre-School rồi xuống OC đến Garden Grove Hospital trước khi ăn tối.
Bố mẹ gửi các con một số hình ảnh khu apartment ngày xưa 5941 Highgate # F, Joy Land Pre School và Garden Grove Hospital.
Xe bố mẹ đậu ở parking giữa 2 dẫy chung cư (apartments) 5951 và 5947
Vì dẫy chung cư 5951 là nơi bố mẹ ở sau khi lập gia đình 8/1983 căn chung cư studio B phòng ngủ cũng là phòng khách ở gần cuối và gần cầu thang
Khi Minh Kha sắp được sinh ra thì bố mẹ chuyển sang khu apartment 5941 (hình trên) Phòng F 1 phòng ngủ (hình dưới) ở tầng 2 lên cầu thang từ parking lên
Sân bên khu chung cư 5941 (trái), nơi Minh Kha vẫn chạy chiếc xe trò chơi motocycle; khoảng sân phía trước sát đường Imperial Hwy ở giữa 2 khu chung cư 5951 và 5941









Bố cố ý đậu xe ở ngay chỗ trước đây vẫn đậu khi drop các con - có lần để quên chìa khóa phải nhờ MK 2 tuổi mở từ bên trong








Nơi nhà thương này cả 3 con được sinh ra: Minh Kha (18/11/1984), Giang Phong (11/2/1986) và Thiên Sa (5/11/1990)

I remember a video of dad filming me getting myself out of the car seat bc he accidentally locked me in with the keys still inside. Có phải không bố?
And can’t believe Joyland is still up and running! 

 

Hi family. Aden and I will not be participating in the cao family memory tour but theresa will. Maybe we can meet up for lunch so Aden doesn’t have to be in the car seat for most of the day. Have fun and enjoy going down memory lane.
